For several years now OVIT has taken a significant part in the execution of communications network operating, renovation and development activities of the Hungarian Power Companies (MVM) Group. As a result of developments accomplished during the past years the MVM has become one of the prominent suppliers of telecommunications mains in Hungary. Keeping up with the development OVIT has executes its duties on every telecommunication related field through its own operative model fully conforming to the market demands.
Designing
During the recent years the Telecommunications Department has prepared the execution plan of several new telecommunication stations, optical substructures, optical connections and communication equipment. The Department compiles the documentation required for the permit procedure of new telecommunication connections by National Media and Electronic Communications Authority as well as for the discussions regarding public utilities, and undertakes to prepare the system plan of telecommunication networks and feasibility studies indispensable for strategic decisions.
Operating
A predominant activity of Telecommunications Department is the execution of operational duties ensuring the high service reliability of MVM telecommunication network. The Telecommunication Network Management Department is responsible for the management and supervision of the telecommunication network and system management (implementation of NOC tasks). The Ovit has developed and operates every management, maintenance and troubleshooting processes, through which it can ensure the execution of telecommunication services on a continuous basis for the purpose of electric power system operating and for users (telecommunication service suppliers) of the public network. The qualified team of experts implements the comprehensive operating functions with the help of the advanced pool of instruments and devices.
The operative functions include SDH, PDH, WDM and MPLS equipment units, optical connections (transmission line and sub-structural), along with all accessory devices (power supply property protection, fire prevention), which are indispensable for the uninterrupted operating of the network.
Execution
The Telecommunications Department carries out and undertakes the installation of telecommunication devices, connections and systems. It has extensive professional experiences, the know-how, and all required resources for the complete execution of optical connections in transmission lines and substructures.
The experts have acquired profound professional experiences in the installation and commissioning of the latest transmission devices and systems (SDH, PDH, WDM and MPLS) during the recent period, which they had the opportunity to prove several times in the fields of electric power industry and public service provision. Conforming to the requirements of the integrated system, we ensure satisfaction of the customers’ demands comprehensively and at a high standard with the help of certified subcontractors and suppliers.
