The construction and maintenance of the high voltage power lines is the basic activity of Ovit ZRt. with half a century of experience. This is also for the time being its core and strategic business. The power line building activity of Ovit ZRt., undertaken continuously since its formation, qualifies the company as the major player in the construction of power lines for the Hungarian energy infrastructure. With the building of the 120-, 220-, 400-, and 750 kV power lines, amounting to a total of more than 9200 km, and with the application of the technologies of mounting and maintenance work, Ovit ZRt. is in an acknowledged unrivalled professional position, and has obtained excellent acknowledgement. Technically the outstanding safety of operation of the Hungarian grid, compares well also at an international level.

The Power Line Construction Section of Ovit ZRt possesses the greatest power lines building capacity in Hungary, which is constantly being developed with the most up-to-date resources and technologies, adjusted to the prevailing demands.

The basic undertakings of Ovit ZRt.'s Power Lines Section are:

• Construction of new high voltage power lines
• Maintenance of existing power lines, repair and/or replacement work also during operation
• Repair of damage to power lines
• Reconstruction, transfer, removal, splitting, modernization and standardization of power lines
