Horváth Miklós, the new Managing Director of OVIT ZRt.

The General Assembly of OVIT ZRt. held on 14 April 2008 elected maintenance director Horváth Miklós the member of the Board of Directors. Horváth Miklós was born in Paks in 1962. He sat for the final examination at Electric Energetics Secondary School in Budapest, and then he graduated from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of Technical University of Budapest. As a young electrical engineer he found a position at Paks National Power Plant as an equipment engineer. Thanks to his good skills in the field of directing and organization he became the head of the Department for Electrical Maintenance in 1992, and in 2001 he was assigned to the head of the Major Department for Maintenance. Through his increasing professional experience and his active contribution to the management of the company he rose through the ranks and in 2004 he became the director of the Maintenance Division which employed 1000 workers.
He enhanced and updated his knowledge continuously, in the past years particularly through management- and directing-specific trainings. Delegated by National Power Plant he took part in international reviews several times, gaining benchmark experience in the field of energetics (Finland, Japan, Taiwan, USA). In the course of his work at the nuclear power plant he acquired knowledge of developing and operating the ISO 9001 quality system, of using SAP system, of developing and using the Integrated Technical System. Since August of 2007 he has performed the chairman’s duties of the Board of Foundation for Maintaining and Operating the Institution of the Secondary School of Energetics. On 1 January 2008 in connection with the rationalization and restructuring within MVM group, he was commissioned to be the director of Maintenance Division, newly established at OVIT ZRt. This new division of OVIT ZRt. is in charge of implementation and service activity of the power plant maintenance project of the company.
Since 14 April 2008 he has been the managing director of OVIT ZRt., at the same time his employment relationship terminated at the National Power Plant.
He is married with two children, he spends his spare time mainly with his family, but he regularly swims and also likes technical sports.
